Organizations associated with Nobel Laboratories for the purpose of research and development.

Applied Medical Research
Applied Medical Research is a research facility, founded by Edward Petrus, M.D., for the testing of medical products.  Dr. Petrus conducts clinical studies and personally tests each product.

Some current and future products include:

  • Fasprin®, a fast dissolving aspirin tablet that melts on contact with the saliva in the mouth and rapidly absorbed into the bloodstream, with a pleasant lemon flavor.  The protective action of aspirin is available within 5 minutes after absorption in the mouth.

  • Nu-Joint®, a composition of dietary supplements that contains glucosamine for the production of new cartilage and also contains agents that reduce nitric oxide production, known to damage cartilage and prevent glucosamine from forming new cartilage. The oral capsules have been shown to reduce symptoms associated with osteoarthritis in humans and other mammals.  The response time varies, but some reported relief after just one week, but most reported relief after 3-4 weeks.

  • FastZinc®, a fast dissolving tablet that releases zinc into the oral cavity to compete with the rhinoviruses that cause the common cold and reduces the duration and severity of cold symptoms.

  • Outdoor Formula®, a topical crème that contains a lemon scented eucalyptus oil, which has been approved by the Center for Disease Control, known to prevent mosquitoes from biting, combined with a zinc salt that creates a reservoir effect that prolongs the duration of eucalyptus oil remaining in the skin.  The product contains no DEET.

Advanced Medical Instruments
Advanced Medical Instruments was founded for the developing and patenting of medical projects.  The corporation can be contacted for licensing of its patents.

Some of our current United States patents include:

Patent #
Description of patent
7,846,914 Composition for the treatment and prevention of endothelial dysfunction, includes combining aspirin with a proton pump inhibitor, and a formulation for the flu.
7,136,820 Method/process of determining a personal dietary supplement profile and recommending dietary supplements for an individual.
6,930,099 This invention relates to a method and compositions for the treatment and prevention of disorders associated with endothelial dysfunction consisting of anti-inflammatory agents and dietary supplements.
6,656,925 Composition and method of treating arthritis, expanding the use of dietary supplements.
6,596,708 Composition and method for the treatment and prevention of endothelial dysfunction associated with heart attacks, stroke, diabetic retinopathy and headaches comprising aspirin, and amino sugar and a zinc compound.
Method and compositions for treatment of the aging eye. A topical crème of amino acids and minerals applied to the eyelid skin and absorbed into the orbital circulation to prevent and treat disorders of the aging eye, such as wrinkles, keratoses, age spots, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Method and composition for treating musculoskeletal disorders. A topical crème, for pain relief, combining a penetration enhancer with an NSAID, such as ibuprofen, to avoid gastrointestinal irritation and bleeding.
Composition and method of treating arthritis. A composition of dietary supplements, that contains glucosamine for the production of new cartilage and agents that reduce nitric oxide production, known to damage cartilage in arthritis. Other chemicals that act as nitric oxide synthase inhibitors are included in the patent.
Ear composition and method of treating ear disorders. The patent covers a formulation for treating otitis media by administering an ear drop containing a penetration enhancer, analgesic and anti-inflammatory zinc salt. Another formulation contains lidocaine for the treatment of tinnitus (ringing in the ear).
Insect repellent composition for treating vector-borne diseases. A topical crème that contains a lemon scented eucalyptus oil (Eucalyptus citriodora), which is known to prevent mosquitoes from biting, combined with a zinc salt that creates a reservoir effect that prolongs the duration that eucalyptus oil remains on the skin, and vitamin A which combined with a zinc salt has been shown to decrease the incidence of malaria symptoms.
Therapeutic ear applicator and method. An applicator for the delivery of therapeutic agents to the middle ear. A sponge-like porous media, impregnated with agents, coats the lining of the ear canal during insertion and rests against the tympanic membrane where it releases the agents to the middle ear and proximal structures.
Therapeutic dental floss for treating systemic disorders. A dental floss impregnated or coated with therapeutic agents, such as zinc salts, for treating gingivitis and periodontal disease that may predispose individuals to cardiovascular disease, stroke, premature births, atherosclerosis, HIV transmission, arthritis and other chronic diseases.
Therapeutic toothpick for treating oral and systemic diseases. A toothpick impregnated or coated with therapeutic agents, such as zinc salts, for treating gingivitis and periodontal disease that may predispose individuals to cardiovascular disease, stroke, premature births, atherosclerosis, HIV transmission, arthritis and other chronic diseases. The toothpick can also be coated with vitamins, antioxidants and caffeine.
Contraceptive sponge consisting of a soft sphere of polyfoam material that can absorb and deliver therapeutic agents to a body cavity. One agent can reduce cervical cancer. Amino acids, lubricants, hormone preparations, antibiotics, antifungal and antiviral agents can be delivered with the sponge.
