From a Hang Glider Pilot
Dear Dr. Petrus,
I am writing you to let you know that your products Nu-Joint capsules and Nu-Joint gel has made a huge difference in how I feel. At 40 years old I am an active and competitive hang glider pilot.
Although hang gliding can be a peaceful way to spend time floating around the sky, it has a more adventurous side as well. I fly in competitions and I am doing aerobatics such as looping too. Aerobatic flying can place the same amount of G-force on a hang glider pilot as an F-15 fighter pilot. On a hot Texas day, thermals can thrash a hang glider pilot and his 75-pound glider around quite vigorously.
Controlling a hang glider in this environment requires some strength and agility. The day following such a radical flight can take it's toll on a body. Hard landings are another story. After discovering and using Nu-Joint regularly though, I feel more agile which adds to my flexibility and thus my confidence in flight. If I overdo it in the sky, I rub some Nu-Joint gel into my neck and shoulders and I sleep like a baby. Not only does it smell good, it just feels wonderful.
I have had many injuries in other various sports and suffer from joint and musculoskeletal problems and I thought that I would have to live with soreness forever. Pain medications are out of the question and I am acutely allergic to a popular over-the-counter muscle creme. Now though I have Nu-Joint in my medicine cabinet and flying supply bag. My wife loves it too and we regularly massage each other's feet with Nu-Joint gel.
Thanks for such great products!

Avid Gardener and Hiker Discovers Nu-Joint
Dear Dr. Petrus,
My apologies for taking so long to let you know what a change your Nu-Joint product has made in my life. I have simply been too busy catching up with an acre of gardens and taking time to start hiking again - all without even one Celebrex* !
I am 59, in good health and living a reasonably active lifestyle. However, over the past 2 years osteoarthritis has been noticeably creeping into my joints and for almost a year now I have had to take Celebrex fairly regularly in order to function without the pain and stiffness of a woman at least 20 years beyond my age. (Let me say that my mother, who is 94, could get out of bed more easily than I on most days.)
I started taking a glucosamine and then a glucosamine-chondroitin supplement (a brand that Costco commonly sells) about 2 years ago when it was recommended for my aging dog. It gave me no help with pain or stiffness, but I kept taking it hoping it would help my joints maintain themselves over the long haul. Some months later, I read an advertisement for Cosamin DS and switched to that brand - with similar results.
I assumed that I was not one of the lucky ones for whom glucosamine was the silver bullet against arthritis pain. Most mornings were grim - a hot shower and half an hour of warmup and stretching exercises would get my limbs moving, but it was a long, slow process until I could function fairly normally and even then I felt as if I were moving through molasses most of the time. I always seemed to be tired. Joint pain often kept me awake at night.
A friend told me about a new formulation of glucosamine that seemed to have good results and asked if I would be interested in giving it a try. I had nothing to lose, certainly, and agreed. My expectations for improvement were nil and my attitude toward the benefits of glucosamine supplements in general was extremely skeptical. I began taking 6 capsules of Nu-Joint daily about 4 months ago. Within 2 weeks I could not help but notice that I had much less stiffness and little to no pain in my joints - which I attributed to a short stretch of good weather or some other fluke of nature. But I kept on with the program and - with the exception of one day when I popped a Celebrex as a prophylactic because I could not believe I wouldn’t need it - I have not taken a Celebrex since.
For the past 3 weeks I have been working long, hard hours catching up with the garden - until I drop from exhaustion and can feel how tired my muscles are. Every night, I feel sure that tomorrow will be the day when I will have to start Celebrex again to survive the consequences of all this hard work. Yet every morning, to my amazement, I get up and start moving around like "my normal self". I am finding that my energy level has skyrocketed. Last weekend, my husband and I took our second hike of the season - over 13 miles - and I NEVER NEEDED A CELEBREX!
For me this is a miracle - the silver bullet I had been hoping for to give me back the quality of life I missed so much. My only regret is that our little dog is no longer with us to enjoy the benefits of Nu-Joint with me.
Sincerely,
Mary S.

A Professor of Kinesiology
Dear Dr. Petrus,
I am writing this letter to express my appreciation to you for the change that your Nu-Joint supplement has made in my arthritis. I have suffered from this chronic disease for many years.
I am 58, in good health and I have been always physically active. I am professor of kinesiology at Huston-Tillotson College with experience in anatomy, physiology and arthritis. In 1996 I started having arthritis symptoms and eventually had arthroscopy surgery on my left knee. My operated knee was improved, but I still had occasional symptoms. A year ago I began having arthritis symptoms in my right knee and it was suggested I try glucosamine tablets. I found that glucosamine supplements improved my symptoms. A few months ago I was introduced to Nu-Joint capsules and after less than a month my arthritis symptoms of both knees improved. I became aware of the fact that Nu-Joint acted by reducing nitric oxide in the joint fluid of the persons with osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
If I had Nu-Joint in 1996 I probably would not have needed surgery on my left knee. I have many students with symptoms of arthritis who could benefit from Nu-Joint at an early stage in their athletic career by preventing the progressive deterioration of their articular cartilage. We now know the benefits of taking vitamin and mineral supplements to meet our nutritional needs. Likewise, athletes realize their need to use supplements to achieve their athletic fitness. Because athletes tend to develop arthritis earlier due to the stress on their articular cartilage, they tend to use supplements at an earlier age. So, I recommended Nu-Joint to my students and friends.
Sincerely,
Ardavan Lotfalian, Ph.D.
